Madz’s New Pet

My youngest daughter Madeline is a cat lover. She has been begging me numerous times for me to either buy or adopt a cat. I keep turning her down because having a pet is huge responsibility. Last time we adopted a male cat named Custard,   he went missing. We did not know whether he ran away or was stolen.

Two weeks ago, I thought of surprising Madz by buying her a cat stuffed toy. It’s not as good as a real cat but she loves it so much she carries it wherever she goes except when going to school of course. I am planning of giving her a real pet cat when she’s old enough to take care of it. :-)

Running

Been planning to run with a friend for the longest time and we finally did. We both live in Marikina and we set our run on an evening  at the sports center.

Clad in Black, I ran about 5 laps but my friend did more as she’s been running more often than I have… (she lives nearer at the complex too). The night – all in black is a perfect setup for a sweaty run! (No one sees you all so rugged and tired.) teehee! Next time, I’ll surely bring the kids along…

Eat all you can at MeryenDads

This is one of our family bonding/dinner at Kamayan restaurant in Glorietta early this year. It was our last family event before my uncle returns to the US. It was also one of my cousin’s 21st birthday. Since it’s an eat all you can, we truly enjoyed the food along with lots of kwentos and laughter.

If you have been to Dads/Kamayan/Saisaki of the Triple V restaurants, then you have surely known the most affordable quality Filipino and Japanese cuisines – all you can eat for the price of P500++.

The Filipino dishes range from traditional servings of adobo to elegant paellas, kare-kare to grilled seafoods. There’s alsoa  variety of  truly yummy desserts and fresh fruits to choose from.

Their authentic japanese specialties are made more appetizing by the ‘live’ preparations by chefs in yukata. Don’t wonder why the place is always filled  during peak hours – only means good food is served.

DADS ULTIMATE BUFFET
For Dads Ultimate buffet, you can have over 200 buffet choices. You can fill your plate/plates with Filipino, continental, or Japanese dishes as you can choose from the buffets of Saisaki and Kamayan.

Proud mom, I am!

A bit late for posting but  as the cliche goes, it’s better than never. This was during my daughters’ school recognition where both of them finished at the top of class. Indeed a proud Mommy Moment!

On me – printed, long,  brown silk blouse paired with leggings, one of my favorites.
