Kate Middleton teal dress

She was regal last year when she walked down the aisle t0 wed her Prince, a real Prince, William, Duke of Cambridge. Now, bearing the name Duchess, she has always hold fashion enthusiasts in awe, truly rightful for being one of The 100 Most Influential People in the World as picked byTime Magazine.

Kate Middleton was with Prince William at the London Olympic Gala concert when she donned this beautiful Jenny Packham teal dress. Fine details,  floor-length dress featured a V-neckline, capped lace sleeves and an embellished waist belt and a see through lace back with buttons down the middle, never could have been perfect.

The duchess was also seen in a £450 ($725) blingy Jimmy Choo sandals, a teal clutch to match and had her hair up, which is not her usual style. It was a good move too since the back details of the dress was given more exposure that way…

Clozette – be inspired!

I can’t remember when was the last time I shopped online. I used to browse about items on Amazon and local listings or online stores on Facebook for shoes, blazers, bags and everything for the sake of vanity. To shop doesn’t mean I spend a lot because Amazon has lots of sale items and those on Facebook are either priced half the original or can be picked up to lessen the cost of shipping.

So imagine how glad I was to stumble upon Clozette, it’s like an online closet where you put your items; bags, shoes, accessories, dresses and everything else. You can view others items too and like Facebook, like whatever you find cute and fits your fancy. You can add friends too so it’s like a social network of fashionistas…you share the same hobby which is; shopping.

One can also upload a “look.”  A look is a set of what one is wearing from head to toe, complete with bags, shades and shawls. This is like inspiration boards since everyone can get mix and match ideas from others.

The most wonderful feature of Clozette is you can create a store for free and sell your own items. I still have to explore this well but the Bazaar Page shows a lot of beautiful items, I’d just like to buy now! ^_^ There are still so many features that the site offer, would browse about the site and update this post soon.

H&M to launch eco-friendly fashion line

Michelle Williams in H&M at the BAFTA

With their eco-friendly styles for men, women, and children, H&M’s Conscious Collection is sure to be a hit come its launch.

The line boasts organic cotton, Tencel®, hemp and recycled polyester, but with less color involved. Instead of the bright fun & flirty feel, the Spring 2011 collection has a romantic “white hot” look for the summer months.

Many celebrities has boosted the fame H&M had of this eco-friendly initiative. Thus some of those would be in the collection like  the blue tuxedo blazer and shorts worn by Seyfried at the London premiere of movie In Time and an apple green embroidered dress specially made for Kristin Davis that she donned to a Vanity Fair event in Los Angeles.

There will also be a top and skirt inspired by the dress that Michelle Williams (right) wore at the BAFTA awards.

The collection is part of H&M’s goal to incorporate more sustainable fabrics into their apparel, an initiative that started in 2004 and is still ongoing.

Oscar’s Best Dressed (2012)

Fashion famous night 2012 Oscars is a must see! Here, beautiful dresses by known fashion designers goes on parade  worn by high profile celebrities. To list my picks in no particular order would be Michelle Williams Louis Vuitton coral dress, bright and truly sophisticated. Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab white gown (or is it ivory) that she so totally rocked, no wonder she’s a supermodel. Penelope Cruz in a blue Armani Prive that makes her look so delicate and elegant and her vintage-inspired hairdo goes well with it.

Maria Menounos dons a pastel colored gown by Maria Lucia Hohan that flows so nicely, and the cut is something I would like for myself. Jessica Chastain looks regal in a black strapless dress by Alexander McQueen. The silk organza corset gown embroidered with gold bullion and metal thread was custom-made by Sarah Burton – the thread complements Chastain’s hair nicely.  And Gwyneth Paltrow’s caped Tom Ford gown was a standout! Only she could pull that off.

There are a lot more lovely dresses and celebrities who rocked their looks. Who’s your pick?
